Delegate Wren Williams Lands $1.5M In Funding For Floyd Public Service Authority

FLOYD, VA – In a letter dated April 6th, the Virginia Department Of Health offered the Floyd-Floyd County Public Service Authority nearly $1.5 million for drinking water construction ($973,355 in grants and $501,425 in low-interest loans). This welcome news comes on the heels of Delegate Williams lobbying the General Assembly for an itemized $1.8 million in a $5 million budget amendment to fund drinking water repair and construction in Floyd County.

“For too long, our communities in Southwest and Southside Virginia have been neglected in Richmond,” said Williams. “I am very pleased to see that Floyd’s PSA will get the funding they need to provide high quality drinking water to the residents in our community. It is an honor to be fighting for the good people of Floyd County in the new 47th House District, which I am currently running to represent.”

Wren Williams is the sitting delegate representing Virginia’s 9th House District, serving on the Committees on Public Safety, Privileges and Elections, and Courts of Justice. Since redistricting, Williams is running for re-election in Virginia’s newly-drawn 47th House District. Outside of politics, Wren lives with his wife, Britt, and son, Rhett, in Stuart, VA. Wren and Britt own and operate Schneider & Williams Law Firm.
